JAI MATA DI
Durga Path
Durga Path is the devotional recitation of hymns to Goddess Durga, the Divine Mother who stands for strength, protection and the triumph of good over evil. At its heart is the Durga Saptashati (also known as Chandi Path or Devi Mahatmyam), 700 verses that narrate the Goddess's many forms and her victories over demons.
Most commonly done during Navratri, it can also be performed on Ashtami, Amavasya or any day you seek her blessings. The chanting is believed to awaken Shakti, dispel negative influences and bring courage, health and prosperity. It may be done alone or in a group, at home or in a temple, along with offerings and aarti.
